Тюрюмин Яков Леонидович, 23.04.1960 г.р., в настоящее время работает старшим научным сотрудником в Научном Центре Реконструктивно-восстановительной хирургии Сибирского Отделения РАМН (директор НЦ РВХ СО РАМН - чл-корр. РАМН, профессор, д.м.н. Е.Г. Григорьев).

В 1991 г. защитил кандидатскую диссертацию по теме: “Роль холестанола в патогенезе холестеринового холелитиаза”.

В 1996 г. впервые представлена новая модель патогенеза холестеринового холелитиаза на XIV International Bile Acid Meeting "Bile Acids in Hepatobiliary Diseases - Basic Research and Clinical Application" (Freiburg, Germany, 1996).

В 2000 г. защитил докторскую диссертацию по теме: “Закономерности морфо-функциональных нарушений в желчном пузыре и печени в патогенезе холестеринового холелитиаза”.

В 2007 г. впервые предложен новый алгоритм лечения заболеваний желчевыводящих путей на Falk Symposium No.161 "Future Perspectives in Gastroenterology (Dresden, Germany, 2007).

На сегодняшний день алгоритм лечения заболеваний желчевыводящих путей проходит клиническую апробацию в клинических центрах Испании, Португалии, Германии, Франции, Голландии, Бельгии, Чехии, Австрии, Израиле, Греции, Турции, Великобритании, Швеции, Литве, Латвии, Белоруссии, России (Москва, Санкт-Петерубрге, и т.д.), Индии, Китае, Гонконге, Южной Корее, Японии, Австралии, Новой Зеландии, Чили, Бразилии, Аргентине, Мексике, США, Канаде (в 30-и странах или в 80-ти клинических центрах).

В целом по результатам научной деятельности опубликовано 182 научных труда (из них 66 в зарубежной печати), в числе которых 36 статей в центральных изданиях, 6 патентов, 2 монографии. 64 абстракта были представлены на 23 международных конгрессах и симпозиумах.

В 2001-2005 гг. работал на кафедре онкологии Иркутского Государственного института Усовершенствования врачей (ИГИУВа) в должности ассистента, доцента и профессора.

В 2005-2006 гг. работал заместителем главного врача Центра иммунотерапии и клеточных технологий (г. Калининград).
