Abstract
The article discusses the main physiological mechanisms of "athlete’s" heart formation: eccentric hypertrophy and concentric hypertrophy. The physiological mechanisms of heart adaptation to aerobic and anaerobic exercise, depending on the heart rate, are discussed. Different mechanisms of ATP resynthesis in the heart muscle and the ejection fraction are considered for different types of physical activity: moderate, medium, submaximal and maximum.
Key words: heart hypertrophy, eccentric and concentric type, ejection fraction, aerobic and anaerobic exercise.
